These terms apply to all orders placed in the online shop at woodencorner.is. By placing an order you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Icelandic consumer law or the law of your own country.
1. Who we are
Wooden Corner Iceland (Viðarhornið) is owned and run by Sylwia Olszewska.
- Kennitala: 200874-2859
- VSK (VAT) number: 142889
- Shop address: Laugavegur 27, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
- E-mail: info@woodencorner.is
2. Our products
We sell wooden embossing rolling pins and cookie stamps. The patterns are laser-engraved in Poland by our supplier, and we pick them for our shop in Reykjavík.
Every piece is made of natural wood, so the colour and grain can differ slightly from the photos. Some product images show the engraved pattern from the maker’s catalogue rather than a photo of the finished pin. Sizes and measurements are given on each product page.
3. Prices
- All prices are in Icelandic krónur (ISK).
- Prices for orders delivered in Iceland include 24% VAT.
- Orders shipped outside Iceland are exports and are sold without Icelandic VAT. The price without VAT is shown in the cart once you enter your delivery address.
- Shipping costs are added at checkout and depend on the delivery method, destination and parcel weight.
- Your country may charge import VAT, customs duty or handling fees when the parcel arrives. Unless the checkout says otherwise, these are paid by the recipient.
We may change prices and the range of products at any time. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order. If a price is clearly wrong because of a technical or typing error, we will contact you and you may cancel the order free of charge.
4. Ordering and the contract
- Choose your products and add them to the cart.
- At checkout, enter your contact and delivery details and choose a delivery method.
- Pay with your card on the secure myPOS payment page.
- After payment you receive an order confirmation by e-mail. The contract is made when we send this confirmation.
Please check that your e-mail address and delivery address are correct. We keep a copy of your order, and you can always ask us for it.
We may cancel an order, for example if a product is no longer available or if the price was wrong. In that case we refund the full amount you paid.
5. Payment
Payment is made by debit or credit card through myPOS, a licensed payment service provider. You finish paying on the myPOS payment page, and we never see or store your full card number. Your card is charged in ISK; if your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount.
6. Delivery
We aim to send orders within 3 working days of payment. During holidays and busy seasons it can take a little longer. Delivery options, prices and estimated delivery times are described on our Shipping & returns page and shown at checkout.
You can also pick up your order free of charge at our shop at Laugavegur 27, 101 Reykjavík. We will let you know by e-mail when it is ready.
The products are your responsibility from the moment the parcel is delivered to you or to the pick-up point you chose.
7. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer, you may cancel your purchase within 14 days of the day you receive the products, without giving a reason. How to do it, and how refunds work, is explained on our Shipping & returns page.
8. Faulty products and complaints
If a product is faulty, damaged in transport or not what you ordered, please contact us at info@woodencorner.is as soon as possible, preferably with a photo. We will send you a new product or, if that is not possible, refund you, and we pay the shipping costs.
Under the Icelandic Consumer Sales Act (lög um neytendakaup nr. 48/2003) you can make a claim for a fault for up to two years from delivery. These rights apply in addition to anything described here.
9. Disputes and applicable law
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
If we cannot solve a problem together, consumers in Iceland can bring a complaint to the Icelandic Consumer Complaints Board (Kærunefnd vöru- og þjónustukaupa, kvth.is). Consumers in the EU, Norway or the UK can also get free help from the European Consumer Centre in their country. Disputes may otherwise be brought before the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur), or before the courts of your home country where the law allows.
10. Personal data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy policy.
