A life spent around the kitchen table

A tiny kitchen in Poland
I grew up baking cookies and cakes in my parents' tiny kitchen in a small Polish town. Once a friend and I baked hundreds of cookies for the farmers' market. The next day we were too shy to sell them, so we ate them and gave the rest away.

Grandma's table
My dearest memories are the hours at my grandma's kitchen table. She baked, I watched, and we talked and talked. She taught me more than any recipe book.

Love brought me to Iceland
More than 15 years ago love brought me to the land of fire and ice. Here I became a mum of two boys, and on maternity leave I started a blog full of cookie and cake recipes.

When I tried embossed rolling pins in my own kitchen, I knew I wanted to share them. Icelanders treasure time with family, and I truly believe that baking brings people together.
